You need a compatible terminal to accept Centrapay. If you are an EFTPOS One customer, your terminal already supports it. If not, sign up with EFTPOS Central and we will make sure you receive a terminal that is fully compatible.
Centrapay has a 0.39% merchant acceptance fee. There are no ongoing costs or minimum monthly fees. The Payap application is free for customers to use.
Payments are settled the next business day into your merchant account.
Customers use their smartphone (Apple or Android) and the Payap app. They scan the QR code shown on your EFTPOS terminal and confirm the payment on their phone.
Yes. Centrapay is backed by Bank of New Zealand and uses bank-level security to protect every payment made through Payap.
You can keep your current bank. Just link your existing New Zealand bank account in the Payap app. Payap works through open banking or through a linked Visa or Mastercard debit card, so it does not matter who you bank with.
